Private Donors Make A Big Impact
Here at Northwood University, we pride ourselves on offering numerous scholarship opportunities to our students. More than $1.9 million raised in private donor scholarships this year alone benefited 450 student recipients. That’s a big impact! This week, we hosted the 25th anniversary of the Private Donor Scholarship luncheon, where students were able to meet their donors and personally thank them for their generous donations to their educational futures. Students had the opportunity to network, connect, and build professional relationships with their donors, giving them a path to reach out to the current job market. It’s another one of those unique Northwood University experiences we are so proud of.
This was the largest Private Donor Scholarship luncheon we have had to date, with 170 guests, and 50 scholarship donors. There were 88 student recipients in attendance to receive their scholarships. I am so grateful to the many donors we have at Northwood.
Students who don’t have to worry about paying for college have the ability to focus heavily on their academics and increase their on-campus involvement. It not only gives students practical experiential learning towards their degree, but also networking opportunities to connect with fellow students, professors and alumni. These scholarships confirm students' belief that they are on the right career path, at the right institution.
Have a great weekend!
