Celebrating the Northwood Family
Last Saturday, we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome students, alumni and parents to a new tailgate spot on campus. Formerly South Village Apartments, the area adjacent to our stadium is now home to a new area called Tailgate village. Students and Northwood fans alike are able to meet one another, have fun and play yard games before they head into Hantz Stadium to cheer on the Timberwolf football team. We introduced a new activity for our halftime show, where a student attempts to punt, pass and kick a field goal—from 100 yards away—to win $500. Last Saturday’s challenger, Nick Andres, rose to the challenge, and successfully completed the new contest. Congratulations Nick, and we look forward to more students entering for this weekend’s game!
Also this weekend, we are excited to welcome not only our students and fans, but more than 450 Northwood University parents and siblings to our annual Family Weekend. We hope our extended Northwood family members are able to enjoy our new gameday experience, and also help us cheer on a victory at our 1:00 p.m. game against Ferris State.
Have a great weekend!
