Among our code of ethics is one that was on full display this past week: achievement. I am pleased to dedicate this week’s post to celebrating those among us who use their personal skills to create high achievement, and to applauding the high achievement of others! Congratulations to our Northwood Collegiate DECA team and students who now hold the coveted leadership positions of International Collegiate DECA Vice President, Michigan Collegiate DECA President, Michigan Collegiate DECA Vice President, and Michigan Collegiate DECA Secretary. Northwood’s leadership is on full display in the DECA organization, and we look forward to more DECA news in the coming weeks as this team and our Business Professional of America team prepare to compete at nationals.
Northwood Mock Trial wrapped up a stellar season and National Championship Tournament last weekend, read more about their achievements by clicking here.
We also celebrated student leaders this week, starting Tuesday at our annual Student Leadership Awards. Wednesday, student leaders in the Student Philanthropy Council teamed up with staff to host a “Day of Thanks,” helping spread our admiration for those who make a difference or have positively influenced lives with a personal thank you card. Thursday was a day of celebrating our seniors; it was great to see their excited faces at the senior luncheon and reception at our DeVos Graduate School.
This weekend, we will continue the accolades at our Honors Convocation and Delta Mu Delta ceremony on Sunday. It has truly been a time to reflect upon all of the great accomplishments of our Northwood family members. I have no doubts the examples provided to our younger students will keep the Northwood Idea alive long into the future!
Have a great weekend,
Keith A. Pretty, J.D. President and CEO Northwood University 4000 Whiting Drive Midland, MI 48640 989.837.4203 email@example.com
