Spring at Northwood University is sometimes as unpredictable as the Michigan weather in April. However, this year, fashion marketing and management students have managed to put a spotlight on the forecast. Trend forecasting, the theme of this year’s 17th Annual Northwood University Style Show, is an emerging and popular career choice for our fashion business students. Fashion forecasting requires predictions of colors, materials, graphics, and other styles to be presented on the runway and in the stores for upcoming seasons, and applies to all levels of the fashion industry. Our student planners have been challenging themselves to this new experience as they plan for this year’s runway show.
Watch the preview video for the show, titled Fashion in the Headlights, below or by clicking here. This year our students have placed a special emphasis on the practical, hands-on experience they are gaining as they plan for the show.
Next Friday, April 13, the savvy and creativity of Northwood’s students will be on display through the year-long preparation and efforts of our students. If you have not made plans to attend the style show, tickets and more information are available by clicking here.
The Michigan weather may continue to give us fits, but the forecast for Northwood’s students is bright!
Have a great weekend,
