Cheering on our Timberwolves
The fall season has been an exciting one for Northwood University student-athletes! In addition to facilities upgrades for soccer, baseball and softball, our teams have been competing at a high level. Just last month, 35 student-athlete team leaders participated in the first ever Northwood Student-Athlete Leadership Retreat. They learned skills to help them better understand their leadership roles on and off the playing field, and in their careers beyond Northwood.
The more than 500 student athletes within our undergraduate student population bring a special element to our campus. They are disciplined, team-oriented and driven. Our student-athletes share a desire to help their fellow Timberwolves succeed, on and off the field, court or diamond. That is why last spring, 78 Northwood athletes received GLIAC all-academic honors.
In addition, athletic teams have a special directive for our upcoming Go MAD—Make a Difference—day of service. We look for every team to participate in service projects in addition to our faculty, staff, and student body. Mark your calendars for November 3, I look forward to seeing everyone Go MAD!
Congratulations to all of our student athletes who have been competing this fall, and best of luck to them as we look to finish this season strong!
Have a great weekend,
