Greetings from China! This week my travels have taken me halfway around the world to visit our International Program Centers in Wuxi and Changchun. Since 1999 we have had a presence in China, where we were one of the original four educational partnerships in the country. At our International Program Centers and through the presence of international students on our campus, we learn, grow and experience new things. At Northwood, we often speak of the multi-cultural nature of business, and business education forms the critical foundation of this.
This weekend, I will visit the Auto Show in Changchun. One of my favorite weekends of the year on our residential campus has been duplicated there, where our students are putting to practice the same experiential learning opportunities in their own way. The innovative and global nature of the automotive industry is not unlike the world of business education in that it is constantly evolving to the needs of customers. Business is dynamic, and it requires critical thinking, personal effectiveness, and an emphasis on responsibility. That’s part of the Northwood Idea, and the Northwood difference.
This week has been a great experience, and I look forward to seeing the successes of our program centers in the future!
Have a great weekend,
