The world of business is a busy one, and business education at Northwood University certainly follows suit! This time of year we have frequent events for students, staff, faculty and the community. We are always proud to share our perspective—and our campus—with new ideas for driving business into the future. This past week, dubbed ‘E-Week,’ celebrated entrepreneurship here at Northwood. Through an exciting pitch competition and numerous opportunities to learn more about start-ups, franchising and what it takes to be a business owner, our students were exposed to many new and exciting ideas. With this environment rife with innovation, it’s no wonder 34 percent of Northwood graduates own all or part of their own business.
For those students seeking to carve out a future in their favorite industries, we also hosted Career Week events over the last few days. From the Personal Branding Workshop with alumna Kris Marsh, to networking opportunities in every industry imaginable, our unlimited network of potential is truly part of what makes Northwood great.
Yesterday kicked off our 2017 Freedom Seminar, “Freedom at Work.” Sponsored by our McNair Center for the Advancement of Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, this weekend investigates the most current business and economic topics available today. We hope the Northwood community enjoys this opportunity to learn and interact with leaders from around the country and to learn more about how the Northwood Idea applies to today’s most pressing issues. See the full line-up of speakers on this page.
Our endeavors will continue to keep us busy as we provide our students, faculty, staff and community opportunities to learn more about how Northwood is developing business leaders for the future.
Have a great weekend!
