Northwood University was created at a critical point in history, when the world was changing rapidly. It was born at a time when leaders were needed to help drive the ideals of free-enterprise forward. This moment in time offers a similar opportunity.
Our country’s varied reactions to last week’s election results have led to much discussion about the future. Here at Northwood, we support the rights and freedoms of citizens to engage in the democratic process. Our values, clearly articulated in the Northwood Idea, ensure Northwood students, staff and faculty treat all others with respect and consideration for their circumstances, and thoughtful regard for their value as human beings.
In our pursuit of developing leaders for the future, we are committed to maintaining a high level of integrity, which is reflected in our code of ethics. Honesty and fairness are built into this code and drive our behaviors in times of change. This sets Northwood University apart.
We stand strong on our ideals because we are dedicated to equal opportunities and the individual freedoms of all human beings. We all benefit from the diverse, multi-cultural nature of enterprise, and embrace what new ideas and opinions offer us. It is important, perhaps now more than ever, to stay true to our tradition of freedom.
Have a great weekend!
