3+1 Agreements Enable Smooth Transition for Transfer Students

For years, transfer students have been an integral part of the very fabric that weaves Northwood University into an institution that supports the diverse backgrounds and lifestyles of students from around the world. With the purpose of preparing a range of students for future success in a free-enterprise society, Northwood has in place 3+1 programs to assist students in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business administration after attending community colleges such as Alpena Community College, Delta College, Lansing Community College, Macomb Community College, Mott Community College, Schoolcraft College, Cerritos Community College in California, and others.

Through our 3+1 partnerships, transfer students have an opportunity to attend Northwood and transition into their choice of nearly 25 competitive undergraduate programs.

Flexibility of programs such as these allows us to expand our student reach and our educational footprint across the country. Learners are able to attend convenient classes in a “transfer friendly” environment, applying previously earned credits and experiences gained from community colleges to their degree from Northwood.

Taking the next step from a community college into a university setting can be daunting, but through strategic partnerships, Northwood is able to efficiently guide an array of students in accomplishing their goals, all while promoting the application of critical thinking skills and our ideals of ethics, responsibility, and individual freedom.

Have a great weekend!
