The values of freedom, respect, integrity, spirituality, honesty, achievement, empathy and responsibility will ring strong in the coming weeks as we celebrate the 28th Values Emphasis Week on the Midland campus of Northwood University. The week of March 21-25 will feature a series of presenters who are well-versed in ethical business practices. These industry leaders will connect with staff and students during presentations, lunches, informal gatherings and one-on-one mentoring. They will share their personal experiences in the working world and candidly discuss how those experiences shaped them into the business leaders they have become.
Among the impressive list of speakers is Lieutenant Col. Allen West, former U.S. Congressman and president and CEO for the National Center for Policy Analysis. Col. West is a strong believer in the American dream and our ability to revive and achieve it.
We will also welcome Donna and Kim Yost, two influential CEOs of The Life Chest and Art Van Furniture. This power couple practices many of our ideologies in the course of their business operations. Other esteemed guests include Peter Shin, director of Community Relations for Shinola Detroit, and Jack Krasula, president of Trustinus, LLC.
Let’s use this week to reflect on how we can integrate these core values into all of our lives, personal and professional. We look forward to seeing you on campus March 21-25.
Have a great weekend!
