Sunday March 23 marks the 55th anniversary of Northwood University’s founding. Established in 1959 and based on the values of individual liberty, private enterprise, and business leadership, the mission of the then-Northwood Institute was the same mission that drives Northwood University today: the development of the future leaders of a global, free-enterprise society.
In 1979, Northwood established its annual Founders’ Day and Values Emphasis Week celebrations to recognize and honor the accomplishments of Northwood University’s founders Drs. Arthur Turner and Gary Stauffer. In line with this proud tradition, our 2014 events highlight the legacy of Drs. Turner and Stauffer, the heart of which is the development of business leaders.
