A Final Farewell
This weekend we are celebrating our 13th annual Bay Harbor Celebration and Symposium, and I can think of no better way to kick off the new school year. Members of the Northwood family will come together for this event, reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, and lay the groundwork for another outstanding year.
We will be welcoming Northwood alumnus Jonathan Williams to Bay Harbor on Saturday to speak at our symposium on “Why Some States Are Prospering and Others Are Not.” Jonathan will be joined by our own Dr. Tim Nash to review the United States economy from the year so far, and to take a look at what lies ahead. The symposium is free and open to the public, and I encourage you to attend. More information can be found here.
Over the past 13 years, Gretchen and I have had the honor to serve Northwood University. It has been our privilege to work with amazing staff and faculty as we build the foundations of Northwood and prepare future leaders. Throughout our time here, we have come to know many students and graduates who have grown to become advocates of free-enterprise and embody the Northwood Idea.
Thank you to all of you who have been continuous supporters of Northwood University throughout our tenure. We are truly grateful for the love and friendship my family and I have received during the past 13 years.
We are honored to have Dr. Kent MacDonald and his wife Mary-Ellen step into the leadership of our great university. Please give them your encouragement and support as they now lead us forward.
Have a great weekend!
