Freedom and the American Dream
Heading into the 4th of July weekend, we celebrate the freedoms and liberties that have been afforded to our nation. We are reminded of the strong alignment between our country’s founding principles and Northwood’s philosophy of promoting individual freedom, responsibility, integrity and the power of free enterprise. We are grateful for our strong nation and join with every American in celebrating the freedoms we enjoy because of those values.
This weekend is also a time to reflect on what freedom means to us as Americans, students, staff and faculty at Northwood. Expressed through individual rights and personal responsibility, freedom is the foundation of our country and a value in which Northwood University is grounded.
Our founders believed in the clearly articulated mission to develop the future leaders of a global, free-enterprise society, or in other words, the Northwood Idea. Sixty years later, Northwood University educates managers, entrepreneurs and highly skilled, ethical leaders to enter the workforce. With over 60,000 alumni and a vibrant future ahead, the Northwood Idea and the philosophy of the Founding Fathers is alive and well.
Have a safe and happy Independence Day weekend!
