Today, Northwood University’s Fashion Marketing and Management Program is hosting its annual Style Show. This year’s theme is “Fabric of the Universe,” which celebrates the elements that make up the world around us, in conjunction with the textiles of today’s fashion trends.
Style Show is an annual fashion event produced by students at Northwood University. Students from all majors contribute to the show’s success and build a connection with the community, the fashion industry and Northwood alumni through the art of fashion.
This year’s keynote speaker is Leann Colella and is a Northwood Alumna, class of 2017. She is the founder and Managing Director of Sharp Spruce. In addition, Leann will be receiving the Influencer of the Year award.
At the head of this entire operation sits the General Chair who is responsible for managing the executive board and overseeing all show operations. It is his or her job to plan and execute a successful show, and a coveted leadership experience that employers look for in Northwood students time and again. These are the kind of real-world opportunities that Northwood students can take advantage of while getting their degree.
Emily Williams, This year’s General Chair, had this to say about this year’s theme, “This year with the theme "Fabric of the Universe," we will be combining the sleekness and majesty of the stars and galaxies with a fashion-forward glimpse at 2019 trends.”
Join us tonight at 7:00 p.m. for Style Show’s Fabric of the Universe. I hope to see you there!
Have a great weekend!
