Last weekend the National Automobile Dealers Association--N.A.D.A.—held their yearly conference in San Francisco, California. This is an opportunity for dealers all across the United States to come together to learn from each other and educate as well as improve dealers through services and goods that are exhibited from industry professionals with booths at the event. With Northwood’s deep roots in the industry, it is also a great opportunity to see many alumni!
In addition to taking many students to attend the conference, Northwood recognizes owners and dealer principals in the automotive industry who have made noteworthy contributions to education and their communities. The six honorees of the dealer education award this year were dedicated last Saturday. You can read more about them by clicking here.
Students currently in Northwood’s automotive programs also had the phenomenal opportunity to be a part of this event and learn from industry professionals from all over the country.
Northwood University student and 2019 Auto Show General Chair, Mathew Baucher attended the event to help promote the 2019 NUIAS.
"Being in the automotive program immediately gave each of us an “in” on any conversation; not to mention how eager our existing contacts were to introduce us to their colleagues or connections,” he says. “N.A.D.A. was an amazing opportunity, and I would have never experienced such a remarkable weekend had I attended any other university."
At Northwood University, we take pride in being able to give our students experiential learning and networking opportunities no other university can. It’s part of the value of our ever-expanding alumni network of leaders around the world, and I am proud to be part of it.
Have a great weekend,
