Greetings from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit! This week press, industry professionals and, of course—Northwood student interns—descended upon the Motor City for the annual show. As the final January show prepares to open to the public tomorrow, the buzz in Detroit is all about what is coming in the future.
Staying innovative is never easy, and opportunities such as the NAIAS for our students offer the types of resume-building, hands-on and differentiating experiences Northwood has become known for. Whether it’s through an internship over the summer, or in their career after graduation, Northwood students can take what they have learned in a real industry setting and turn it into their competitive edge.
I had a chance to sit down with Doron Levin of WDIV/Channel 4/Click on Detroit when I was at the show on Tuesday, and we covered the importance of experience and entrepreneurial willingness from Northwood’s beginnings 60 years ago to today. You can watch the interview by clicking here.
I look forward to hearing from more of our students who attended the NAIAS this week, and to how the experience will spark new and innovative ideas for the next Northwood University International Auto Show.
If you make your way to Detroit this weekend, enjoy the show!
Have a great weekend,
