Preparing for Gold
This week the Winter Olympic Games wrap up, half a world away, and we part ways until the next Games. The countries in the world come together to compete and to celebrate one another. All of this camaraderie, pride and patriotism have long been a part of America’s Team USA, and here at Northwood University we embrace those values not just every two years, but every day. This past week we welcomed more than 75 employers from across Michigan and from companies across America to our Spring Career Expo, offering our students the incredible opportunity to interview for possible positions right here on campus. Lifetime access to an unmatched network of employers and alumni makes Northwood special, and as our students ‘go for the gold’ job opportunity they hope to land, we know they have been well prepared here.
One group of students who have done the prep work are those in our hospitality management program. I am looking forward to crowning off this week not with a closing ceremony, but with those students at the annual Stafford Memorial Dinner tomorrow night. Talents will be on full display as they prepare and serve up a special night of “Greenhouse Gastronomy.” You can learn more about the student executive board members and purchase your tickets to the event here. I hope to see you there!
Have a great weekend,
