Anthony Wnoroski Anthony Wnoroski, a Northwood University Automotive Aftermarket Management major, was recently awarded a $2,500 Society of Automotive Analyst (SAA) Thought Leadership of Tomorrow Scholarship at the organization's 28th Annual Automotive Outlook Conference held at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan.

“Walking into an event on such a large scale is pretty nerve-racking, but it is even worse when you have never met a single person you are going to talk with,” said Wnoroski.  Reflecting on the comfort he found as the night went on, he added, “Everyone at the SAA event helped me to feel right at home, and I was able to network with a lot of wonderful people in the automotive industry.”

This year the SAA took a new approach to their conference, focusing on the luxury car market in the United States.  Over ten executives from various automotive and sponsorship companies were showcased, presenting speeches to those in attendance.  Wnoroski also was presented the opportunity to speak in front of the crowd, as he accepted his award.

“Stimulating conversation and the chance to present in front of the entire association helped me take pride in the scholarship I received,” reflected Wnoroski.

Typically presented during the conference in the days leading up to the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), the Thought Leadership of Tomorrow Scholarship was established in 2012, and is awarded annually to a Northwood University student who shows the leadership qualities necessary to drive the automotive industry forward.  Every year honorees for the event enjoy the opportunity to get a sneak peek at some of the new releases for the evenet, which just celebrated its 25th anniversary.
